For Alexander Nubia to achieve its objective, to discover and advance a deposit to a mine, the company has assembled excellent technical personnel with proven records of exploration and of advancing discoveries to exploitation.

Dr. John Payne, Ph.D., VP of Exploration, has over 45 years of experience in the international mining industry. As a senior member of the Hunter-Dickenson (HDI) team, he played an key role in the in the discovery of Pebble East, which transformed the Pebble Deposit to become one of the largest gold-copper deposits in the world (in excess of $500 billion in metal content).  He also was part of the HDI team that advanced the Campo Morado VMS deposit in Mexico into a producing mine.  

Project Manager, Ralph Gonzalez, has over 45 years of international mining industry experience, with a focus on South America.  He has operated numerous exploration and mining projects, including being Mine Manager at La Serena, Chile (sold to Phelps Dodge), and Chief Geologist at Bullmoose Gold Mine, Northwest Territories and at Giant Mascot Nickel Mine, B.C.

Our technical expertise is complimented by proven in-country expertise with senior government and business relations, who were instrumental in the operation of a drill campaign during the Egyptian revolution.

 

 

 

A. (Alexander) Massoud, M.A. Econ
CEO & Director

Chief Executive Officer and President of Alexander Nubia Inc.. Mr. A. Alexander Massoud brings a wealth of experience within infrastructure, real estate development, technology and venture capital industries. Formerly, Director of Business Development, Intelliprep Technologies, Bellevue: instrumental in building out the executive team and in securing cornerstone clients that positioned the company for eventual sale to Click2Learn. Multinet Technologies, Karachi Pakistan: consulted on nationwide DLS role out in tandem with development of first nationwide 4,000 km fiber optic backbone. 

Born in Alexandria, Egypt, Mr. Massoud has been instrumental in undertaking the corporate finance and development initiatives for Alexander Nubia since the Company’s inception in 2006. Mr. Massoud holds an M.A. in Economics from Simon Fraser University.

 

John Payne, Ph.D
V.P. Exploration

Dr. Payne is a professional Geologist, and has over 40 years experience in exploration for and delineation of commercial grade volcanogenic massive sulphide and porphyry copper and gold deposits. Significant recent project contributions include Northern Dynasty's Pebble deposit in Alaska and Farallon's Campo Morado in Mexico (US$2.7 billion in contained Zn, Au, Ag, Cu, Pb), which began production in 2009.

 

Danae A. Voormeij, MSc, PGeo,
Exploration Manager
Ms. Voormeij is an exploration geologist specialized in orogenic gold-vein and epithermal gold-vein deposits.  Ms Voormeij has over twelve years experience in exploring for precious and base metals in developing countries, including Mongolia, Suriname, Papua New Guinea, Ethiopia, Uganda, and Nicaragua. She has worked with major mining companies such as Ivanhoe Mines, Cambior, INCO and B2Gold. 
 
Ms. Voormeij was integral in running the gold exploration program at Dabolava in Madagascar for Pan African Mining Corp., which was acquired by Asia Thai Mining in a $157 million dollar deal in 2008.  In 2011, Voormeij led Hummingbird's exploration field team to the complete delineation of Dugbe F (1.8 million ounces of Au) and the grassroots discovery of 2.4 million ounces of Au (at 1.5 g/t Au grade) at Tuzon in Liberia, West Africa.  In 2013, the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG) awarded her Fellow status. In 2014 she launched a university-accredited, online course that she developed for Infomine, which is geared towards exploration geologists and titled “Gold Exploration in Tropical Landscapes”.  As a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists BC (APEGBC) since 2007, Ms Voormeij is a Qualified Person (QP) as defined by NI 43-101.  
 
 

General Faisal El Masry, Ph.D
Country Manager

General Faisal El Masry is a highly decorated military General in the Egyptian Army and Special Forces. 30 years military service followed by senior posts as General Manager of Investments in the Red Sea Governorate, Mayor of Safaga, General Secretary of Matrouh Governorate and General Secretary of Dakahlia Governorate. Graduating with a Master's Degree in Military Science and fellowship with a Ph.D degree from Nasser Military Academy in Strategic Studies in 1993. General El Masry brings significant logistical, government and corporate affairs experience with day-to-day field operations and interfacing with all key Egyptian-based stakeholders.

 

Mr. Ralph Gonzalez, P. Geo
Senior Field Geologist/Project Manager

Over 40 years of expertise managing all facets of exploration and production programs for gold and base metal deposits in South America, Central America, Asia and North America. Mr. Gonzalez managed a 1,200 ton/day Cu-Ag mine in La Serena, Chile with the eventual sale to Phelps Dodge. Chief Geologist in the 1,000 ton/day Bullmoose Gold mine in the Northwest Territories. Chief Mining Geologist of Giant Mascot Nickel Mines, where he managed exploration and production in the 1980's Mr. Gonzalez brings exploration expertise in a variety of deposits: skam open-pit copper-silver mine, skam open-pit gold mine, small copper-gold porphyry deposit, and carbonate-hosted base-metal deposits. As an Active Mentor of S.E.G. the Society of Economic Geologists Mentoring Program, he provides young geoscientists with work and career advice from experienced mining and exploration professionals. http://www.segweb.org

 
Justin Blanchet, CA, CPA (Illinois)
CFO

Mr. Blanchet is qualified as a Chartered Accountant and as a Certified Public Accountant (Illinois). He has extensive experience in the mining industry as an auditor, and has acted in various roles including CFO, consultant, and controller for a number of public companies listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.
